Alfie:  Alfie is short for Alfred.  The name Alfred is derived from, “elf counsel.”

Willie:  Willie means, “Protector.”  What an awesome thing to call your new doorbell. 

Winnie:  This was the name of the yellow bear in the Winnie the Pooh series.

Woody:  Woody is the name of the cowboy in the Toy Story movies.  It is also the name of a woodpecker, that has a great laugh.

Wylie:  Sure he wasn’t that smart as a coyote, but it can work for your pooch.  Wylie means, “Clever.”

Yogi:  This is a shout-out to the coolest bear in cartoons, Yogi Bear.  

Yoshi:  Yoshi was the name of the dino in Super Mario World.  In Japan, it means, “Good luck.” 

Yo-Yo:  A name of an old-school toy.  This toy spins up and down a string.  Yo-Yo also is used to describe something that goes up and down.

Zazu:  This is the name of the cartoon bird in the Loin King.

Ziggy:  Sure the cartoon Ziggy was not cute.  But saying Ziggy is fun.  It has the meaning of, “Winning protector.”  So, it would be awesome for a cute tough pooch!

Zoomer:  Zoom is a word for really fast.  Zoomer would be a title of some that can zoom.
